How to Make Scallion Wontons

Ingredients for Scallion Wontons: Minced pork filling, finely chopped scallions, minced ginger, minced garlic, salt, sesame oil, a little bit of soy sauce, and a little bit of ginger and scallion water.

Method:

Step 1: Place ginger and scallion water, minced garlic, ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and chopped scallions into the minced pork filling and mix well.

Step 2: Stir until sticky.

Step 3: For the first wrapping method, take a wonton skin and place an appropriate amount of filling on it.

Step 4: Fold as shown, leaving a small gap.

Step 5: Then reverse.

Step 6: Dip a chopstick in water to moisten and seal the edges.

Step 7: For the second wrapping method, use the cross-fold method.

Step 8: Cross the corners.

Step 9: Rotate once.

Step 10: Dip a chopstick in water to moisten the seam and pinch it closed.

Step 11: For the third wrapping method, the ‘little boat’ method (my usual method), place the filling in the middle.

Step 12: Fold in half.

Step 13: Fold again.

Step 14: Flip and pinch closed using the same method.

Step 15: For the fourth wrapping method, the ‘ingot’ method, fold the skin completely.

Step 16: Twist once.

Step 17: Shape like an ingot.

Step 18: Gather the ends to form a cute wonton shape.

Step 19: My result – Scallion Wontons.

Cooking Tips for Scallion Wontons: Do not put too much meat in the wonton, or the skin may break. The filling for these wontons is traditional scallion and pork.
